Two of Hong Kong's first three reclamations touched Causeway Bay: the second in 1859, covering Wong Nai Chung, Morrison Hill and East Point, and the third in 1864.
East Point's reclaimed waterfront became a cargo handling point, a role it kept for roughly a century.
